Watersports on the Shannon
The River Shannon, whose source can be found in the Cuilcagh Mountains and its tail at Loop Head, one of the most well known headlands on the West Coast is 334km in length. But it is without doubt the part which finds itself downstream of Loch Derg which is known as a fantastic stretch of water for practicing a range of watersports such as rowing, excursions in small boats and light sailing, not forgetting fly fishing which is more of a culture than a sport activity. | | Irish Mid West | Return
