A trans-national project for an economic development of the Marine Leisure sector that relies on the values of sustainable development: NEA 2.

This new project aims to develop entrepreneurial and innovation networks in the water-sports sector at regional and trans-national levels through the implementation of innovative joint initiatives, divided into four activities:

• Activity 3 (Marine leisure and economical development)  includes 5 actions that will contribute directly towards boosting the economic performance of the water-sports sector, towards fostering the adaptation of its products and services to the expectations of tourist, residential and foreign clientele,..., towards developing research and innovation, towards making the Atlantic Area water-sports sector a leading water-sports industry, which stands out at international level;

• Activity 4 (Marine leisure and environment)  includes the 5 actions that will contribute towards the protection and economic development of the maritime and aquatic environment, since if this environment more than ever forms a major part of the Atlantic Area heritage, it asserts itself just as much as a first-rate economic asset and an irreplaceable attraction thanks to its water-sports sector;

• Activity 5 (Marine leisure and social cohesion)  includes 4 actions that will contribute towards the quality of life and social cohesion for the Atlantic Area populations, as it is only by taking into account the expectations of this group of populations, and most particularly young, socially-integrated and handicapped people, that the sector will be able to progress satisfactorily;

• Activity 6 (Inter-related actions) includes 3 actions that will federate the partners behind main events and communication actions, make public the project, its objectives, its actions and results to the public and institutions.
